Objectives

CICS.NOVA.UMinho aims to promote fundamental and applied knowledge and research in the domain of Social Sciences, in general, and in the field of Sociology, in particular. Its research focuses specifically on the following fields: Public Policies; Work; Entrepreneurship; Technology; Environment; Territory; Development; Planning; Population; Health; Food; Art and Culture; Ethnicity; Sexuality and Gender. Research is produced and disseminated through events, publications, cooperation with other national and international research institutions and centres, and training of junior researchers.
