Culture, Science and Identity

This research group explores the ways in which  the values of modern societies and secularisation, science, technology and politics are mutually supportive and the effects they have on the collective and individual identity reconfigurations, pointing either to the emergence of an active and plural citizenship, or to new fundamentalisms and new exclusions. The contribution of this team for the deepening of the scientific knowledge is structured around three key areas: i) Science, technology and regulation, ii) Body, gender and identity; and iii) Culture, values and identity.
