Objectives: This project’s objective is to understand the trajectory of employability of higher education graduates, analysing both objective and subjective dimensions. With this objective, an updated survey instrument will be produced that is likely to be adopted and standardised at a national level; this questionnaire will be administered within two large public universities – the University of Lisbon and the Universidade Nova de Lisboa – to graduates that received their diplomas in 2004/05, retrospectively characterising their first five years of insertion; finally, to develop a qualitative analysis, orientated towards subjective relationships with work, based on in-depth interviews administered to individuals of the same academic cohort.
