Objectives: To characterise the use of time and technology according to gender – taking into account the following factors: I) socio-demographic profile of the family (age, employment status, household composition and lifestyle); II) type and role of technology in this family (the reasons for having certain types of equipment, the use and functionality attributed to technological equipment): to provide biographical and micro-sociological analyses, to understand the patterns of use of time and technology according to the type of relationship between men and women within the household; to contribute to the advancement of knowledge about the nature and implications of the use of technology in the domestic domain and its gendered character; to produce data supporting policies that promote greater equality of opportunities between men and women in the public sphere (in particular regarding to work and political participation).
